During our absence we were sorrv to learn of the passing of Mrs. Ella Wright formerly of Janetville and more recently of Caressant Care in Lindsay. Ella and her late husband Melvin provided exemplary mail service to this area for many years. In her earlier years she was active in church and community events in the Janetville area. Deepest sympathy is extended to her son Levern and wife Nadine and family, her daughters, Doreen and Marion and Velma Velma and other close relatives in her passing. She will be fondly _ remembered by a wide circle of acquaintances in the Janetville area. Sony to hear that Mrs. Maijorie Dickson of Orono recently fell and broke her hip and is now a patient in Oshawa General Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Norris Norris and family of Ottawa were weekend guests of Dale and Nancy Stinson and attended attended their annual corn roast on Saturday evening - too bad it rained so hard. Eileen and Howard Malcolm Malcolm with their granddaughter granddaughter Tara arrived home this week from a weeks holiday • in Rome, Italy. These women went home winners last Wednesday from the annual Bowmanville Horticultural Society Flower and Vegetable show at Trinity United Church. Emily Slute won prizes for the best flower arrangement arrangement and for the best house plant; Verna Robinson won trophies for having the most points in the show, for having the most points in vegetables and for the best vegetable specimen.
