Leadership Training Held at Courtice School The YWCA is hosting a "Leadership Training" program program for Grade 6 and up students students at Dr. Emily Stowe Public School in Courtice. The program begins on Oct. 10, 1991 and runs through to Nov. 28. This program program is designed to develop speaking and leadership skills of young people. Participants will learn how to prepare and present a speech, how to conduct meetings, meetings, how to evaluate and lcam effective listening skills. The Newcastle Community Service Order Programme Inc. is jointly funded by the Ministry Ministry of Correctional Services and Ministry of Community and Social Services. The piano lessons were arranged through the kindness of Museum Curator Charles Taws and the Board of Directors of the Bowmanvillc Museum. Museum. The museum attempted to grow its own crop as part of this program. But, unfortunately, their crop has failed. Therefore, donations of pumpkins would be greatly appreciated. The parkette has been named in memory of Ina Brown who lived in the community on Newtonville Newtonville Rd. for many years. She taught school with the Northumberland Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education for 29 years. Twenty five of these were at Orono Public School.
