While visiting the children of Ardyth Moorcroft's Grade 1-2 class, he read the book entitled Rockanimals. Mr. Malowney also spoke to the children about his career in the public school board, starting with a position as a teacher at an elementary school. Senior Public News Introduction Every Wednesday, several students will be writing articles to create an awareness of Bow- manvillc Senior Public School's strengths. We have a lot of good things happening and we would like the public, and especially the parents of Bowmanville Senior's children to know, just what is happening, happening, rather than just the negative negative rumors from the street. We have a great school, and I am proud to be a student here! Melissa Scott Bowmanville Senior Student Remembrance Day Service A special service was held at BSPS honoring all those soldiers soldiers who fought and died to keep Canada free. To honor these men, the school choir sang "O Canada," "Dh God, our help in ages past" and "Let there be peace on earth." They sang with all their hearts and • the music touched everyone. It was a time to look deep inside ourselves and think about all we have, and be grateful. The colour guard saluted the cross as the Last Post and Reveille was played over the PA system by former student, Andrew Laing. Poems were written and recited recited by many students. The colour party made a touching presentation of wreaths. Scouts, Sea and Air Cadets, all in uniform, laid the wreaths and saluted the cross. The Service was small but meaningful, and we are all proud to say we're Canadians. To those who fought and gave their lives, we salute you! All teams showed real sportsmanship,, and competition competition was tough. The girls' team was playing exceptionally well, and came 1 game shy of the semi-finals. Hobbs at The History Fair held at Victoria Hall in Cobourg on Thursday, Thursday, November 21. Their play, entitled "The Harbour" was about the Newcastle Harbour.
