We had Ron Brittain, a student in first year theology at Queen's Theological Theological College, as part of Queen's Theology awareness program. Rev, Sedgwick came along with him, but he conducted the service. After the usual call to worship, Mr. Brittain read the Scripture Jeremiah 23: 1-6 about leadership. Bertha Trew read a poem on Love, on giving and getting for our expression of worship. Second scripture from John 18: 33-37 Mr. Brittain spoke on a new way of leading. The offering offering was taken up by Mr. Peacock Peacock and Mr. Taylor. Coffee and squares left from Saturday night were enjoyed by all who stayed. On Saturday evening the church was full with the crowd that gathered for the Affinity that was performed at the church. Affinity is a musical group of local talent -- Barbara Croft, Brenda Ough, Stephen Sword and Ruth Taylor. They made three changes of costumes costumes and sang many pieces. I was sorry I missed it. Alyson Wcsthcuser has been home from Thursday till Monday between exams. With them is Joy Woodcock (centre) who presented the awards which are sponsored by the Bowmanville, New castle and Orono branches of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Winners are selected on the basis of not only their 4-H achievements but also the skills they demonstrate during an interview.
