A serenade to their leader. The younger ones do their best impression of a small- mouth bass hooked while fishing, as they jump feverishly feverishly with excitement. Dad has just shown up. EAGLES' GAMES -- The Bowmanvillc Eagles played their final home game of the regular season last Sunday against Litde Britain, and will be on the road for a pair of games this weekend. On Saturday they will play a return match in Little Britain, and on Sunday will conclude their season in Lakefield. We hope to be able to publish the dates of games for the opening round of the playoffs in next Wednesday's edition. ANYONE FOR SOCCER? -- The Oshawa Kicks will be entering two teams, one under 16 and the other under 17, in the highly competitive National Soccer League this season. The league operates out of Toronto, and a number of the players in the league have qualified for the Ontario and Canadian rep. teams. Oshawa is hoping that by entering the league, players from the area will get the exposure they need to help them get a scholarship or represent Ontario or Canadian teams. The Toros won the opening game, but lost on home ice Monday night, 4-1. The third game of the series will be at the Darlington Sports Centre on Saturday night. 'Britain? Eagles4 On Saturday, January 25, the Hollingsworth Family Trust Tigers faced Geranium Homes in a BRHL league game. The last time these teams met, the final score ended ended in a tic.
