Goals were scored by A1 McCullough (1), Charlie Hargcsi (2), Chad Vcinot (1), Jeff Dart (2), Evan Goodwin (1) and Wes Thompson (1). Jason Bubar suffered a broken arm during this game. We hope you arc feeling much better, Jason, and we'll miss you on the ice! Saturday evening found the Snowden Snowden team in Pickering earning another shutout game with a 5-0 win. The scoreboard was 1-0 until late in the third period when the Snowden Electric Electric crew really turned on the power and scored four in a row. Goals were scored by Evan Goodwin (1), Scott Millar (1), Jeff Dart (2) and Chad Vcinot Vcinot (1). The Snowden Electric team lit up West Hill Sunday afternoon when they continued their shutout streak with a 10-0 win over the West Hill selects. Snowden Electric tied Beaver Lumber Ties Newcastle Tykes in 6-6 Game Recently by Kim Gadd Beaver Lumber started off a busy week in hockey by playing an exciting exhibition game Wednesday evening against the Newcastle tyke leant. Beaver Beaver Lumber lied the Newcastle team 6- 6 with Garrett McKnight scoring five goals and Colin Organ scoring one. Beaver Lumber started their round robin on Sunday morning when they played the Tim's Rental leant. Beaver lost 8-5, with all five goals by Garrett McKnight. One of Garrett's goals was assisted by Colin Organ. The Beaver Lumber leant relumed to the ice Sunday evening to play their second game of the round robin, defeating defeating the Skylight Donut team 4-3. Garrett McKnight started off the scoreboard in the second period, answered answered by Skylight's Justin Roussy who tied the score. ' Colin Organ popped one in late in the second, period putting Beaver ahead. Jered Williams scored early in the third for Skylight again tying up the scoreboard, Jered hit his target again two minutes later, assisted by Scan La- fort. Garrett McKnight put in goal number three for Beaver Lumber to tie. the game, and with 1:30 loll in the game, Nicholas Boyd hit his target to take the Lumber crew to victory. End of Regular Season for A&R On Sunday, March 22, A&R Flooring Flooring tykes finished the regular season with a 3-2 win over Rotary Club. Trevor Trevor Baker with a pair led A&R, with a single going to Michael Lambert. Helpers went to Josh Kewcll, Aaron Shcrban and Ryan Evans. Rotary markers went to Brendan Kazdundic and Michael Doherty. On Sunday, March 29, A&R Flooring Flooring opened up the playoff round with a 6-1 win over Skylight Donuts. A&R was led by Trevor Baker and Robbie Campbell, each with a pair. Singles went to Jamie Bryant and Steven Hatfield. Hatfield. Assists went to Ricky Clark (2), Travis Woods (2), Michael Kari, Kyle McDonald and Jamie Bryant. The Skylight Skylight Donut goal went to Jason Emond from Malt Gross. 3-3 with the Oshawa Red Wings, with goal number one scored by Ron Loger for Snowden Electric. Adam Kooy and A1 McCullough assisted. Jeff Dart followed, followed, placing in goal number two for Snowden, assisted by Ben Piney and Shawn Whalen. Oshawa finished off the game by scoring three goals to even up the score. Steven Sargent and Clayton Rcndcll were awesome in the net for Snowden, earning three shutout games in a row. Now there's a hat-trick. Brian Rickard played in the Snowden Snowden crease during the final game of the weekend. Good game, Brian! Toros Can Clinch on Saturday at Darlington The Bowmanvillc minor bantam bantam Toros have been forced to win the All-Ontario 'AA' championship championship on their home ice. That's not so bad. Leading two games to zero in their best-of-five final, the Toros had their first crack at taking the Ontario crown 1 Sunday in Chatham. Chatham. They held a 1-0 lead on a Steve Bonneau goal, but Chatham avoided being eliminated by tying the game with under four minutes to go. Neither team could score in overtime. The Toros now hold a five points to one lead in the six point series. Game four will be Saturday at the Darlington Sports Centre at 3:00 p.m. "I'm sure we'll come up with a better effort in our next game," said coach Paul Jackman, who wasn't pleased with the lacklustre performance of his club on Sunday. Sunday. "There were a variety of reasons reasons for it. The bus trip and the commotion of winning up there added to it," he said. "They figured figured they had it won before the start of the game. The Orono Figure Skaters are preparing preparing for the carnival on April 11. There will be two performances, one at 1:30 and one at 7:00 p.m. The skaters skaters look forward tp this event to show off what they have learned during the season. Two of our skaters participated in the All Ontario Interclub Competition in Pickering. Kaitlin Colville placed 5th overall in Preliminary Ladies, Adam Colville placed 2nd in Prejuvenile Prejuvenile Mens, and they skated together in Preliminary Pairs and placed 4th overall.
