Space is Limited, so Call This Newspaper Today The Canadian Statesman, Bowmanville, Wednesday, May 20,1992 23 OBITUARIES William Blake Hoar William Blake Hoar passed away peacefully on August 21,1991, in Memorial Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, where he had been a patient since June 1985. He was in his 95th year. Bom on a farm in the Providence area, he was the son of William Henry Henry Hoar and Jessie (nee Ratcliff) Hoar. He attended Providence school, and was married June 8,1932, to Elsie May Rainey. A resident of Orono for many years he was employed at the Department Department of Lands and Forests. During World War II, he worked in Ajax, returning returning to the "Forestry" at the end of the war, retiring in 1961. He was an active member of Orono United Church. In 1971 he and his wife moved to Bowmanville and attended St. Paul's United Church. Surviving arc his wife Elsie, a niece Mrs. Jean Allin and husband Glenn, and a nephew Mr. Gerald Rainey Rainey and wife Darlene, and their families, families, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Minnie Wight, Melita Taylor and Lillian Hoar, and a brother Edward Hoar. The funeral service was held at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville, Bowmanville, with the Reverend N.E. Schamerhom. The organist was Mrs. Arlene Ayre. The daughter of Robert James, and Margaret McRoberts, she was bom in Manvers Township, and educated in Orono. She was married September 7, 1939, to Ralph Erwin Geach. A loving mother and wife and a homemaker, she was also a faithful member of Kendal United Church. Surviving arc her husband Ralph, Kay (Mrs. David Sutch) Lindsay, June (Mrs. Wayne Foster) Newcastle, Bob of Oshawa and Bonnie Alldrcad, Bowmanville. The Reverend Brian Ransom officiated officiated at the private family funeral services held on Wednesday at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville. Pallbearers were David Sutch Sr., David Sutch Jr., Wayne and Paul Foster, Foster, Dr. Harold Anfossi and Edward Carscaddcn. Many donations were made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Society, the Arthritis Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Interment Orono Cemetery.
