The baseball pool attracted over 300 entries, and Larry's winning margin over the second place finisher was a mere two points. The Cutting Post Blades of the BRHL have reversed their fortunes after after an opening season loss with two very impressive victories. Brad Chapman scored our final goal in the 5-1 win, breaking in alone after committing a theft from an opposition defenceman at centre ice. Whitby started the scoring off with two quick goals, but Bowmanville quickly bounced back with a goal scored by Ryan Leppert,. assisted by Bmce Hamilton. Within minutes, Ryan Leppert scored once again, assisted assisted by Charlie Hargest, bringing the game to a tie. Whitby scored two more goals, ending the first period 4- 2. Bowmanville got outscored during the second period, allowing four goals. Although there were strong offensive offensive plays, no goals were scored for Bowmanville, ending the second period 8-2 for Whitby. The third period was exciting, with great effort from both offence and defensive defensive players. Whitby scored three goals in the last period, winning the game 11-2.
