Supply management contributes to every business in our community community - from the hardware and the bakery, to the restaurant and the bank. By providing reliable markets and incomes for local producers, it makes them partners in our development for the long term. They live here, buy here, and help to create jobs. And across the country, 100,000 jobs in a $10 billion dollar industry. Supply management also ensures that quality poultry, eggs and dairy products are always available, available, year after year. A fair return for farmers means a fair deal for you. But Canada's supply management programs are currently being challenged at negotiations on international trade. If the wrong changes are made, many local producers could find it impossible to stay in business. Part of our future could be lost. Fortunately, the Parliament of Canada made the right choice - a balanced position on agriculture that preserves supply management management while helping all farmers, nation-wide. All Members in the House voted for it. They encouraged encouraged the government to defend it without fail in their international trade negotiations. They know it's important to you. Canada's poultry, egg and dairy producers applaud their decision. Why? " Because in this community, farming is everybody's business. Make it yours - support Canadas balanced trade position
