After 42 years in education Peter Roach is retiring from the Peterborough ' Victoria Northumberland and Newcastle Newcastle Roman Catholic Separate School.Board. Roach served as Director of Education for 18 years. He was honoured at a banquet banquet at the Trentwinds International International Motor Ballroom. Jim Lynch, Board Chairman, Chairman, announced the Separate School Board's office building on Reid Street has been officially officially named the Peter L. Roach Education Centre. In addition, a $500 scholar^ ship at Trent University has been created in Roach's name. Lemon Juice pieces 1 4 eggs, separated 4 1/2 cup sugar 125 mL 1 1/2 cups boiling water 375 mL 2 tsp powdered chicken TO mL 2 tbsp butter 30 mL bouillon mix 1/4 tsp cream of tartar 1 mL 1/2 tsp garlic powder 2 mL 1 cup water 250 mL 1/2 cup REALEMON 125 mL Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). In heavy saucepan, combine 1 cup (250 mL) of the sugar and corn starch; add Realemon.. Realemon.. In small bowl'beat egg yolks; add to Realemon mixture. mixture. Gradually add water, stirring stirring constantly. Over medium heat, cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat. Add butter; stir until melted. Pour into prepared pastry shell. In small mixer bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form; gradually add remaining 1/3 cup (75 mL) sugar, beating until stiff but not dry. Spread meringue on top of pie or place meringue in large pastry bag fitted with decorative tip and pipe around edge of pie, sealing carefully to edge of shell. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Chill before serving. serving. Cover leftovers; refrigerate. Makes one pie. Lemon Juice 2 tbsp ketchup 30 mL additional corn starch, vegetable oil, shredded lettuce or hot cooked rice In medium bowl, combine egg, 1 tbsp (15 mL) of the corn starch and soy sauce; mix well. Add chicken, stirring to coat; marinate 10 minutes. In medium medium saucepan, combine remaining remaining 2 tbsp (30 mL) corn starch, sugar, bouillon mix and garlic powder. Gradually add water, Realemon and ketchup; mix well. Over medium heat, cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens. Keep sauce warm. Drain chicken; coat with additional additional corn starch. In large fry- pan, heat 1/2-inch (1'2 mm) oil; cook chicken, a few pieces at a time, until golden and tender. Arrange chicken on shredded lettuce; pour warm sauce over chicken. Garnish as desired.
