Stiles The Newcastle Sometimers hosted the Rehab.Clinic on Sunday, February 7, and sent them home to recover from their wounds after hammering them by a 14-6 score. Bill Perry led the Newcastle squad with two goals and five assists. Dan Organ, on loan from the Peelers, had three goals and three assists, Sandy MacDonald had a goal and five assists, assists, Greg Sloan led in the goal department department with four goals and one assist, assist, Ron Hooper had two goals and two assists, Bob Stiles had two goals, Brad Finucan and Hugh German had two assists each, while Doug Cole and Dave Rootc had one assist each. Every Every player figured in the scoring. Jim McMaster led Rehab with three goals and one assist. Jamie Wright had two assists, Steve Schultz, Keith Stoker arid Alvin Beech had one goal each. Jim McMaster cut the lead to 2-1. Newcastle went to work with Greg Sloan, Bob Stiles, Sandy MacDonald and Ron Hooper scoring for a 6-1 lead. Jim McMaster scored his second at 18:17 to end the period at 6-2 for Newcastle. The second period saw Newcastle outscorc Rehab by a 5-1 score. The third period saw each team score three goals apiece, with Rehab scoring their three first with Keith Stoker, Jim McMaster and Alvin Beech cutting Newcastle's lead to 11- 6. Bill Perry and Don Organ with a pair for Newcastle gave them the 14-6 victory. Leo Kelly put in a solid effort between between the pipes for Newcastle. Kim Pearce had a busy time in goal for the Rehab Clinic and the score could have been worse had it not been for a solid effort by Pearce. Newcastle had the only penalty, with Doug Cole serving for a trip and Rehab scored on the power play. The next home game is Sunday.
