It's been special with - you in our lives. ! Love Ya, XOXOXO Dear Family and Friends, By the time many of your receive this letter, we will be well on our way to the MV Doulos. A great deal has happened since our arrival in Australia Australia which has made our departure date for Madras, India, come up very quickly. We arrived at the International Airport Airport in Sydney in the middle of July after a very enjoyable drive across Canada and a very long flight across the Pacific. It was good to see Tony's mum and his family again. It didn't take long for Tony to get involved in some fixing, improving and cleaning up around the house, and for me to get behind the sewing machine. The week after we arrived in Shoalhaven Heads, 160 km south of Sydney, Tony began two courses at the local Technical College, one in Electrical Wiring and the other an Accounts Accounts Management course for small businesses. Now that they and his oral exam are complete, Tony will be able to get his Gold License for Electrical Contracting. This will be a practical certificate for him to hold with future missions work in mind. It was nothing short of a miracle that both of the courses were offered locally and during during the six months that we planned to be in Australia. Tony has also been working three days a week at Illaroo Farm, a Christian Christian Conference and Campground managed by people at the Baptist Church that we are going to. He did various maintenance jobs which included included building two storage sheds. Tony's father had done similar work there for several years during his retirement, retirement, so Tony was simply following following in his footsteps. Besides getting a lot of sewing and cross stitching done, I also taught as an occasional teacher at Norwa Community Community Christian School. Teaching high school was something I hadn't done before, but soon I learned that kids are kids the world over. It was a great way to do what I love doing and meet lots of interesting and friendly people. There have been à great many changes in our lives during recent St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Temperance and Church St. Bowmanville r .< 623-3432 SUNDAY. Nunery Available A Warm Welcome to All Visitors months, but the biggest change has been the birth of our little daughter, Lyndall Ruth. She came into the world on Friday, the 20th of November November at 2:25 a.m. The day before I had regular but painless contractions; however, after a trip to the hospital, the midwife sent us home saying I was too happy to be in real labour. The' "real" labour set in at 1:00 the next morning and Lyndall was bom within two hours. We are very thankful thankful for a happy, healthy baby, one who is perfectly and beautifully made by the Creator's hands. She has already give us her first smile, much to the delight delight of her parents and grandmother. Christmas this year was unusual for me in that the weather was warm and sunny. I did enjoy the abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, and being being with my family in Australia. Reports Reports from Ontario of a thick cover of snow made me miss the cold weather and family all the more. Our departure date is approaching quickly. We leave Sydney on the 6th of January, spend the night in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and fly to Madras, India, the next day where we meet the Doulos. We are travelling with a young couple from Brisbane which will be nice company. There is still a good deal that needs to be done before we go which will make us very busy between now and then. Lyndall's passport arrived in good time. Initially Initially she was allowed no baggage, but after writing to the airline, they have granted us 20 kg for her things. Tony will be directly involved with the electrical renovations which are being done on the Doulos. He will be in charge of maintaining and upgrading upgrading the ancillary electrical systems, such as the smoke and heat detectors, paging system, telephone exchange, audio-visual' systems and computer linkups. My main job will be to look after Lyndall, but I will also be involved involved in on-going board meetings and conferences, and wherever else I may be needed. I am not eager to go back to the Doulos because we now have a baby, and there are always risks involved in living aboard the ship, both spiritual and physical. Yet through various events that have happened happened to us, we know that God wants us to be on the Doulos. Keeping that in mind, we can have peace and security security despite our feelings and desire. We value your prayers and support, support, and hope that you will be able to share with us the year ahead while we travel to India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, the Maldives or Seychelle Islands, and South Africa. Please keep in touch. Carolyn, Tony and Lyndall Cave MV Doulos Postfach 1565 D-6950Mosbach Germany Un February 18 at 8:00 p.m. 12 ladies ladies of the Maple Grove U.C.W. met in the C.E. Hall. To set the tone for Valentine's, each wore something that was "red." We repeated the Purpose and the Lord's Prayer. Officers' reports reports were given and the offering dedicated dedicated with prayer. We are invited to the Courtice U.C.W. on March 1 at 8:00 p.m. to hear Dorothy Dupre speak about work done with Campbell Soup labels. The U.C.W. Pres. Annual Mtg. is March 3 at Northminster with the theme "Celebrating "Celebrating Women." The World Day of Prayer service is on March 5 at 1:30 p.m. at Courtice United, theme is Healing, Healing, written by the ladies of Guatemala. Guatemala. Muriel Johnson gave a very interesting interesting report on the young people of our church, the various groups and their current projects. The evening's theme was "Love" and we opened by singing "Jesus Loves Me." Win Brown read a scrip ture study based on I Corinthians, 13 "Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels...and have not charity, I am nothing." Florence Cryderman read a meditation entitled "Soup, Soap and Salvation." Christians must remember remember to first minister to their brothers' brothers' physical needs, before spiritual needs can be satisfied. We then sang the hymn "More Love to Thee; O Christ" followed by a prayer that we might imitate Christ's love for others. Win Brown gave a reading on The Definitions of Love and Florence Cryderman Cryderman treated us with three very touching poems. We were then given a story about two people in love and we had to "fill in the blanks" with different Brand names of soaps. It was a delightful was to end our evening! The Mizpah Benediction was repeated repeated and Valentine's cake was enjoyed enjoyed by all. The drug is released by gradually leaching the drug from the wax base by body fluids. Taking the tablet with hot liquids might speed up this release leading to drug side effects. So take your tablets with a big glass of cool water. Baths are better for dry skin than showers. Baths give the skin a chance to "rehydrate", that Is replenish its water content. Applying a good moisturizing cream after the bath will enhance the process and get rid of that dryness. Food for thought: The average North American consumes about 40 tons of food in a lifetime!
