The choir had another new song for us to sing. Expression •of worship Sybol Davis explained the "meaning of a new banner that the Sunday School had made and put up. Announcements were: Jackson. Peacock explained a questionnaire that asked if we would like to have bible study or other activities during the week which we are to answer and return next Sunday. The children were learning more about the Lord's Prayer. Second lesson from John .3: 1-17 that discussed Children of God and Children of the devil. He spoke on, "Faith calls for new beginnings". Alan and Helen Peacock took up the offering and coffee was served as usual. Lottie White and Clara Sheppard celebrated birthdays this week. On Monday evening the Garden Hill U.C.W. unit 2 held their monthly meeting at Lawrence and Winnie Fin- i- nic's home. Not too many there as it was the stormy night. The president was sick and couldn't attend. They were able to attend to the business and have a meeting anyway. On Friday afternoon the World's Day of Prayer was held at Garden Hill church. The Pinewood Centre counsels addicts and their families. A twelve-week after-school support program for children of drug dependent parents is scheduled to start after the March Break at The Pines.
