Talented Artist Displays Work at Administrative Centre The Canadian Statesman, Bowmanville, Wednesday, April 7,1993 13 Credit Union Re-elects President A one-man show by Newcastle artist John Thome is now on display at the Town Hall in Bowmanville. Bowmanville. The artist is seen here showing off three generations of his family, including a self-portrait, his grandfather and grandson. Mr. Thome worked for 30 years in the commercial art field. He has been an art teacher and a freelance cartoonist under the pseudonym of Jack Point. The collection on view features features work in pencil, pen and ink, acrylic, and pastel. Separate Board Looks at 2.74% Budget Hike At a Special Management Committee Committee Meeting of the Separate School Board held on Monday night, April 5, the committee members recommended recommended a 1993 draft budget of $81,733,385. This draft budget means an average average increase of 2.74 per cent to rate payers in the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland & Newcastle Roman Catholic Separate School Board.
