S talesman TVctàcxdcr, Bowmanville, Saturday, May 29,1993 Durham Student Earns $500 Bursary Kimberly Dewey, a Durham College College technology student was selected as a winner of a $500 "Women in Technology Bursary" sponsored by the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology in memory of the women students slain in the tragedy at Montreal's Ecole Polytechnique three years ago. Kimberly, a Cobourg resident, is a first year student in Durham College's College's Electronic Engineering Techniques Techniques program with a A+ average. She studied psychology at the Uni-. versity of Toronto and holds a Veterinary Veterinary Technology diploma from St. Lawrence College. "I chose electronics because I like math," says Kim. "This award to women in technology is important to encourage women into technology programs.
