Scarecrows Enjoy Ganaraska Adventure Too The Independent, Canadian Statesman Weekender, Bowmanville, Saturday, September 4, 1993 23 The number of scarecrows on display last weekend almost equalled the 65 stops on The Great Ganaraska Countryside Adventure Adventure held August 28 and 29. The countryside adventure allowed the public to see gardens, farms, businesses, workshops and studios of residents in the Ganaraska area. The tour was a fund-raising project for Save the Ganaraska Again (SAGA) and there are plans to have a similar project next year. Just two of the entries from the scarecrow contest held in conjunction with the tour are shown above. Participants Participants on the tour were invited to vote for their favorite scarecrow and the winners will appear at the Orono Fair next weekend. Existing farm customers will take delivery of one quarter of this volume with the balance being purchased by our rural gas bar customers. If all gasoline used on Ontario farms contained ethanol we would use an additional 1,300,000 bushels of corn. FARMER SUPPORT IS NEEDED We need your support to make an Ontario ethanol industry a reality. We need to put out a signal to farm fuel suppliers that they must support Ontario agriculture by supplying ethanol gasolines if they want your business. In addition, your commitment will assist us in providing efficient delivery of Co-op Ethanol Regular Gasoline which will result in a farm delivered price that's competitive to conventional gasolines.
