The ten, nine, eight and six week study groups being offered in Oshawa, Whitby, Newcastle, Port Perry and Beaverton reflect the community's community's request for specific programs programs for parents with teens and basic basic parenting for young families. The workshops respond to specific requests requests frorq the community. Study Groups Strengthening Your Stepfamily This discussion group deals with the advantages and positive aspects of being a step-parent, adjustment issues issues faced by both parents and children children in stepfamilies, effective listening, listening, facilitating co-operation within the .family, and effective problem solving. In this study group, ' parents will be introduced to concepts and methods methods which will result in more harmonious harmonious parent/child relationships.
