Museum Receives Operating Grant Of $13,496 from Ministry of Culture The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Recreation has approved a 1993 operating grant to the Bowmanvillc Museum in the amount of 513,496. Museum Curator Charles Taws said the money would he used to help with the day-to-day operations of the museum. The museum has been an annual recipient of the operating grant, but must apply for the funding each year and give documents to support its request. "1 am very glad to see that the Bowmanvillc Museum was one of the 200 museums chosen to receive this grant," said Durham East MP (lord Mills. "Museums provide the community with its heritage." The operating grant program for museums has been in the Ministry for over 25 years. "I'm sure that the Ministry will continue to provide museums with operating grams for many years to come, Mr. Mills said. Alyson Wcstheuser leaves for St. Catharines to day for another year at Brock. A steady stream of customers enjoyed the free hotdogs, com and soft drinks. The Legion Week continues continues throughout the remainder of the week.
