The craft table held some new ideas plus the regular mitts, aprons, towels etc, the gifts for the lucky penny tickets were of excellent value plus a few for children; odds and ends table displayed everything from A to Z you name it, it was probably probably there; bake table was long and crowded with pickles, jams, cookies, loaves, squares and oh yes, pies (they disappeared so fast if you were not one of the first to the table you missed that pic you had your eye on), a crocheted centrepiece was drawn for and won by Sharon Metcalf, afternoon afternoon tea was enjoyed by all which of course, provided the opportunity of visiting with one another. The climax to the Bazaar was the draw for which we have been selling tickets since May. The winner of the Quilt was Mrs. Tressa Chittick of Orono who is a Lodge member. The winner of the second prize which was an..Afghan-and matching pillow was Mrs. Millie Ashton of Bowmanville who is also a Lodge member. We appreciate the support of those who attended and advise that the proceeds go to our benevolent work, including that of Camp Trillium Trillium which is held each year for children children who suffer with the cancer disease. disease. Doris Wollstein Secretary The next project for discussion was our ceinture flechee or arrow sash. This sash was worn by the voyageurs voyageurs and traded for other necessities necessities by these men. We all found this weaving difficult and are glad we don't have to make them for a living!
