We have been late opening due to flu and other events but they expect to be continuing. I have had the Burtons putting in wood and Alyson and Todd, her boy friend, and Suzanne cleaning up the leaves and veranda this weekend since the weather has been so good for all these fall jobs. June Moore expects to have her next treatment on Wednesday, a three day treatment then rest for three weeks again. There have been reports of more break-ins since last week ,1 hope they soon end. These have all been in Garden Garden Hill so far. Mr. and Mrs. Keith McGill were OBITUARIES Elmore Robert Scott A well known Liberal supporter and former Reeve of Hope Township, Elmore Robert Scott died Tuesday, October 26th, 1933 in Port Hope and District Hospital. He was 82. He suffered an attack while attending attending a meeting of the Ganaraska Conservation Conservation Authority on Monday morning. morning. His funeral was held on Wednesday Wednesday from the Ross Funeral Home in Port Hope, with interment in Knoxville Knoxville Cemetery. Mr. Scott was bom on the family farm in Hope Township, son of the late William Scott and the former Mary Morrow. He was educated at Woodville Public School, and was a well regarded farmer. In 1944, he was elected to the township's municipal council for the first time and served as a councillor until 1947 when he was elevated to Deputy-Reeve and later to Reeve from 1950-52. During this period, he was also President of the Port Hope and District Agricultural Society and from 1952 to 1974 was his township's representative representative on the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority. In July 1959, after retiring from , farming, he was appointed a director of the Hamilton Township Fanners' Mutual Fire Insurance Company, holding that post until 1964 when he resigned and became an insurance agent with the company, retiring in 1982. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Velma (Lightlc), four daughters, daughters, Diane and her husband Chester Fronez of Cobourg, Gail and her hus- ■ band, Ron Niebcrgall of New Hamburg, Hamburg, Bonnie and Iter husband, Ray McCool of Canton, and Kim and her husband, John Burrell of Ottawa.
