Model Railroad Show Held November 20th in Whitby Once again the Pine Ridge Railroad Railroad Club is putting on a model train show for the public. It will take place on November 20," from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Father Leo J. Austin Secondary School in Whitby. A model model railroad is located in our club house which we regularly show to children, beaver scouts, cub scouts, seniors, etc. to promote model railroading railroading as a hobby. Toys and sweat shirts were the prizes awarded in the following three age categories: under 10, 10 to 16 arid over 16. « Alzheimer Society Plans Christmas Fund-Raiser In celebration of the magic of Christmas trees, the Alzheimer Society Society of Durham Region is hosting a special fund-raising event called the Yuletide Tapestry of Trees on Sunday, Sunday, November 28th at Trillium Trails just north of Oshawa. . The event will consist of candlelight candlelight dinner with a Bavarian menu followed by an auction of designer miniature Christmas trees. The collection collection of seventeen "one of a kind" trees will include everything from a spectacular contemporary fabric design design to an exquisitely made tree that can be worn as a piece of jewellery. Traditional, romantic, old fashioned and special theme trees will also be featured. The evening, in aid of Alzheimer Disease Research, will begin with a reception and auction preview at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $30.00 per person.
