This Sunday, January 9, they will host a free introductory photography workshop from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. It takes place at the Visual Arts Centre, 143 Simpson Ave., in Bow- manville. It has been estimated that this event will attract about 400 to 500 out-of-town visitors. Another event will be a bicycle race to be held in Oshawa. It will attract attract close to 300 people from across Ontario and the United States. Closer to home, a number of Clarington events have been added to the Celebrate Durham calendar. Among them are a showing at the Visual Arts Centre of photographs by Mark Goleski, Paul Osadchuk and Marcus Schubert. There is also a Winter Festival at Enniskillen Conservation Area, an Open House at the BowmanviUe Museum and an International Women's Day event in BowmanviUe. YWCA Announces Programs for 1994 You'd better hurry down to the YWCA to register for new 1994 programs, because time is running out fast. YWCA programs are filling up quickly, but you still have time to jump right in to fun-filled programs like "My Baby and Me," "Silly Songtime," "Let's Pretend" and "Mini Michaelangelos." Your children children will have a blast of a time participating participating in acting; creative songs, paints and crafts. We all know children are very energetic and that's why the YWCÀ has brought to you these fun and active active programs like "Creative Movements," Movements," "Intermediate Jazz" and "Beginner and Intermediate Ballet." Babysitter training and co-ed basketball basketball are also available for all the young adults out there. And, last but not least, there is "Mom's Night Out."
