With a complete team effort, Newcastle defeated Armstrong's to the tune of 9-4. Dave Roote led the attack with three goals and two assists. Bill Perry had two goals and two assists; Greg Sloan had two goals and one assist; Chris Hurst had a goal and an assist, Bob Stiles, George Sainsbury and Grant Flintoff all had two assists assists each.
