Recent guests of Sharon and Barry Barry Head were Deborah and Walter Tittle and sons Andi and Mischa of Hoyt, New Brunswick. The Tittles were on their way home from Toronto Toronto where they visited Deborah's mother Helen Aquilina and sister Gayle. The flowers at the alter were in memory of the Carveth family and were given by Gordon and Hope Carveth. The sidesmen were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Haring, The Advisory Board will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Mr. and Mrs. Peters' house on Sunset Blvd. On Saturday the A.C.W. will hold their Valentine Tea and Bake Sale in the Parish Hall between 11 and one. The rice for soup and a sandwich is 4.00. The Colonial Lady Quilt, for which tickets are still available, will be raffled at that time. On Sunday the Altar Guild Corporate Corporate Communion will be at Early Service. Service. On Saturday, January 8th, Sylvia Vanhaverbeke, Joachim Baur and Mary Hcgerty organized and presented presented a very informative workshop for parishioners involved in our Reading Ministry. This was very well attended attended and successful. Our first Parish Council meeting of 1994 was held on Sunday, January 9th. After the business was completed completed the members enjoyed a late Christmas Christmas get-together. The weekend of January 8 and 9th was also our first re-instated Muffin Weekend (coffee, muffins and a social social time after each Eucharist). This provided an excellent occasion for parishioners, new and old, to get better better acquainted. Many took advantage of this opportunity. St. Francis was the host worshipping worshipping community to the Clarington East Ministerial Association's Christian Christian Unity Service held on Sunday, January 23rd. Members and ministers from the United, Anglican, Pentecostal, Pentecostal, Christian Reformed and Catholic communities celebrated together in prayer, song and fellowship. The theme of Unity, not Uniformity was the topic of an excellent sermon given given by Reverend David Black.
