The group meets each month in the auditorium of the Newcastle Community Hall for old-time music and plenty of square dancing, step dancing and round dancing. Jim had been employed by General Motors for over 30 years. Congratulations to Donald Staples who recently received the "Paul Harris Harris Fellowship Award" from the Bowmanville Rotary Club. Sympathy of community to the family of the late Mrs. Alice (Harold) Çobbledick, who passed away Friday, Friday, February 18. Alice and Harold were long time residents of Park Street, Orono, and in recent years Hillsdale, Oshawa. Orono United Church Sunday school and teachers all filled a bus Sunday morning to enjoy a fun trip to Allan Downes sugar bush at Kendal. Farewell Presentation Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Munneke, former Orono residents, and now living living in Millbrook Sr. Citizens apartments, apartments, were recently entertained at former neighbours, Mrs. Dorothy Vogels, to a farewell party. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the delicious roast beef dinner, catered by the arena fund-raising committee.
