Snow and Sleet Delays Dime Power Campaign This winter's weather has provid- ' ed quite a challenge to the volunteer canvassers of The Ontario March of Dimes 1994 "DIME POWER" Fundraising Fundraising Campaign, report campaign . organizers. "Many communities rose to the challenge and forged ahead to raise money for our Assistive Devices Program, Program, in spite of snowstorms and freezing cold temperatures," explains Andria Spindel, Executive Director of the organization. "Some regions however, were forced to put their campaigns on hold to protect the safety of volunteers and staff until weather conditions improved." To date, the organization has raised only 25% of their $500,000 goal. "If the balance is not raised, many of the 1.3 million adults with disabilities living in Ontario will have to ' make do with worn out equipment or worse, without any assistance assistance at all," states Ms. Spindel. If you would like to contribute to their campaign, donations can be made by calling your local Ontario March of Dimes office or by calling the "DIME POWER" Donation Hotline Hotline at 1-800-263-DIME.
