A report from the town's Community Community ServicesDepartment recommends recommends that the community-based band not be considered an extension of the municipality. A letter from band representative David Climenhage in November, 1993, asked the municipality to cover cover the costs associated with performing performing in public. In a report submitted to council by Joe Caruana, the Community Services Director, it is stated: "should this occur, the band's focus could be perceived as an extension of the municipality's operations.
