A most exciting special event at the meet was an attempt on the Canadian Canadian 11+12 girls Medley Relay Record by a squad from the Markham Markham club. Despite the distraction of two fire alarms (accidental) just before before the race, the four swimmers managed to break the National Mark by over half a second. This is the first Canadian Record to be broken in the Splash Pool. Overall, this was a most successful successful meet. We have an excellent meet management crew here at NEWAC who are building a good reputation for themselves in the swimming community. community.
