Parents have told Clarington Council that, in view of the traffic on Sandringham Dr., an adult guard is warranted. BHS principal Jack Taylor recalls 1993 as having been one of the worst he can recall for getting jobs. MPP Mills noted, however, that the cost of education in Ontario is reasonable compared to other provinces. provinces. 'The percentage of what the student student pays represents about 25% of the cost of education, which has been constant for about 20 years. That portion is more because tuition is more, but the cost of education in Ontario is still comparable to other provinces." Mr. Mills added that although the government had set up initiatives last summer for temporary jobs, the 1993 program was nowhere near the scale of this year's jobsOntario youth program. He said similar funding will be extended into 1995. Summer work experiences will be available in the Ontario Public Service and associated community groups, in business administration, agriculture, forestry and law enforcement. enforcement. There will also be jobs in the Northern Training Opportunities Environmental Youth Corps, Ontario/Quebec Summer Job Exchange, and the Ontario Rangers. Concession. In fact, each plant produces produces 12 pounds per season and there are 5,000 plants grown in each of two annual crops. That means, if our multiplication serves us correctly, the annual yield is about 120,000 pounds. The number printed in the' farm edition was double that figure. We apologize for this error. CLARIFICATION ON ORCHARD ORCHARD LOCATION - An article article in the Farm Supplement on Fred's Fruit Market indicated the Obrist property is on Highway 115/35. In fact, only a small land holding (which includes the Fruit Market) fronts on the highway. The orchard land is not located on Hwy. 115/35.
