To date, there is no known cause or cure. The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation Foundation of Canada is a non-profit volun- 1 tary medical research foundation dedicated dedicated to finding the cure for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by raising increasing funds for medical medical research. On Charity BBQ Day, the public Weapons Amnesty Solicitor General and Minister of Correctional Services, David Christo- pherson, has announced a three- month provincial weapons amnesty to enable people to voluntarily surrender surrender firearms and other weapons to police. He made the announcement at a breakfast to launch Police Week in Hamilton. The amnesty will run from June 1 to September 1,1994. "Our goal is to reduce the number of firearms in Ontario," Mr. Christo- pherson said. "We hope to help get as many guns as possible out of circulation. circulation. We encourage anyone with a firearm or other weapon they don't want, to go to their local police station station and dispose of it," he said. The amnesty will allow people to turn in firearms and other weapons to police. If the possession of the firearm firearm was illegal, criminal charges would not be laid. Weapons will be destroyed in the manner prescribed by the Police Services Act.
