Agriculture Museum The Ontario Agricultural Museum open its 16th season of fun and learning learning Sunday May 29, with more than 10 special events lined up for 1994. The excitement starts on opening day with Dairy Days, an entertaining and interactive event which focuses on Ontario's dairy industry from the cow to kitchen table. Free samples including a 100-foot Banana Split, and hands-on activities such as butter and ice-cream making are just some of the highlights of this fabulous family family event. July 16 and 17 marks the tenth annual Great Canadian Antique Tractor Field Days, a celebration of Canadian- made farm machinery. The Ontario Agricultural Museum portrays the story of agriculture and rural life in Ontario through 30 buildings buildings and exhibits. Open green spaces, colourful gardens, crops and livestock livestock complimented by friendly staff will ensure that your day in the country country is enjoyable. The Museum, will be open through September 25, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Just 20 minutes west of Pearson International Airport, it's a short trip to the Museum from anywhere in southwestern Ontario. The 1994 navigation season on the Rideau Canal and the Trent- Sevem Waterway began on Friday, May 20, the Department of Canadian Heritage announced. Operated by Parks Canada, the historic canals provide recreational boaters with access to some of the most popular vacation areas within the province. The Rideau Canal allows boaters to travel from Kingston on Lake Ontario Ontario to the Nation's Capital, while the Trent-Sevem Waterway affords access to the many lakes and rivers between Trenton on Lake Ontario and Port Severn on Georgian Bay. The Department of Canadian Heritage Heritage is committed to the commemoration, commemoration, protection and recreational use of these historic waterways. Lockage and mooring fees for Ontario's Ontario's historic canals remain the same as last year. Lockage, mooring and camping permits are available to boaters at lock stations along the Rir deau Canal and the Trent-Sevem Waterway. Waterway.
