Mourning Breath Band Kicks off Ciarington Fitness Week Events Lang Pioneer Village Victorian Flower Show Will Host June 12th The Eleventh Annual Victorian Flower Show will be featured on Sunday, June 12 at Lang Pioneer Village, Village, a living museum village near Peterborough, Ontario. Everyone is invited to -enter the Victorian Flower Show. There are 11 classes for adults and 4 classes for children including an "Arrangement in a Victorian container of your choice" and two popular log cabin categories for children. Visitors will enjoy watching the English Country Dancers on the village village green and may be invited to join in some of the traditional dances. Other pioneer activities will include woodworking, flower pressing, blacksmithing, sawing shingles by steam engine, horse and buggy rides and more! Enter the Victorian Rower Show or just come and enjoy all the activities activities of the day as you travel back in time on Sunday, June 12 from 1 to 6 p.m. Lang Pioneer Village is 10 miles southeast of Peterborough and 2 miles north of Keene at Lang. The Municipality of Ciarington administrative staff and area residents residents kicked off Canada Fit Week on Friday afternoon, May 27, with lunch and music.
