The team played a strong game, with smart passing plays, and continually continually challenged the Whitby forwards forwards and defence in attacking the ball quickly . Ryan Hibbard played a strong game in goal, filling in for the absent absent Kyle Searle. Defensive players were quick to attack and interrupt offensive rushes by the Whitby team. Strong crossing passes from Ryan Fowler and Tanner Milson led to excellent excellent scoring opportunities. The Whitby goalie, along with help from the crossbar and some goalposts, kept his team in the game. However, eventually the team was able to find the mark and at halftime led the match 3-0.
