Hamilton to Host World Leaders at Christian Festival When organizers plan conferences, conferences, festivals and concerts it is always the hope that the key note speaker becomes becomes "newsworthy" immediately prior to the event or that the performer performer wins an academy award just before tickets go on sale. For the Canadian Christian Festival Festival IV, organizers could not have known that for two of the four key note speakers, the world has just turned completely around. At the Festival held in Halifax in 1990, Bishop Desmond Tutu said that sanctions were working - now, four years later, not only were they working but South Africa has made an enormous leap forward in the twentieth century. Brigalia Bam, a well educated native native of Transkei in South Africa, was forced to leave her country in the late sixties and worked in exile in Geneva for many years. In 1988 she managed to return to her homeland and now serves as the Acting Deputy General Secretary of the South African Coun- i cil of Churches. For her, the recent turn of events in her country heralded a new phase in her life. When the Canadian Christian Festival Festival IV takes place from June 23 through June 26 at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, among the over 100 speakers and workshop leaders, 75 performers, and a massed choir of 750 voices, will be two leading players in the major news story of this year, if not this decade. There are many sun-blocker lipsticks and lip-balms ... coloured or clear, that will do agood job. Speaking of sunscreens, remember to apply it at least one hour before exposure to the sun for best protection. There is a class of laxatives called "stool softeners". Unlike other laxatives, they do not stimulate the bowel to move. Their primary action is to prevent prevent constipation so should be taken on a routine basis. The name Docusate is the prime example of this group. Keeping drugs out of reach of children is always sound advice. One medication medication that gets a lot of attention from little kids is the birth control pill. Attracted by the fancy packaging and because they see Mom taking them all the time, kids often think they are candy. In these fast-paced, mechanized and computerized times, it s nice to know you can drop into your neighbourhood pharmacy and speak to a pharmacist in person. It's a good feeling for us too. It makes for great communication. Pharmacist Orthotist Bowmanville Clinic Pharmacy Ltd. 222 King St. East Bowmanville, Ont.
