HORSE SHOWS -- An Arab horse show and heavy horse show are among the events taking place on Saturday during the Oshawa-Whitby Fair. BOWMANVILLE KINSMEN CARNIVAL RETURNS - The Bowmanville Kinsmen Club is hoping for lots of sunshine from August 4 to 7 as they re-run their annual carnival. Due to inclement weather which plagued the event earlier this summer, the club will be trying again in August. It takes place at the Bowmanville Recreation Complex. SUMMER CLOSING - Memorial Hospital will be closing its operating rooms effective July 24th to August 7th. The closure is for elective procedures only.
