A park like piece of land with lots of trees and a small stream running running through the property. A very good crowd gathered for the service. Sandra Bell Buttars was our guest speaker. A surprise we had, an order of service- that we followed with Canton Canton Choir supplying the anthem. We had prayer of approach, Prayer of confession, Prayer of the People and Assurance of Pardon. The children's story was the one about Jesus feeding five thousand men. Sandra Buttar spoke on the fulfillment fulfillment in the wrong places. She told of six or eight young people who had got into trouble with the law or into drugs or left school too young or left home finally ending with the story of one young man who got himself in all kinds of trouble from about 12 on and had eventually turned his life around through faith in Jesus Christ and now he does good work to help others do as he had done. After the service we had coffee and fruit bread prepared by Canton ladies. Next Sunday Sunday service at Roy McHolm's ■ with Alan McKraken speaker. Ida has been active over the years in our Yelverton community both in church and U.C.W. and her assistance will be greatly missed. It was our pleasure, Come and mine, to join Ora and Orval Quacken- bush, John and Susan, Gilford and Tammy, at the new restaurant south of Cadmus for dinner on Friday evening evening to observe Ora's birthday. It was our first opportunity to visit this new restaurant and we were duly impressed impressed - they had 3 main entrees to choose from, all of which were tastefully tastefully cooked, the service was good and the prices modest. Add to all that the spacious dining room overlooks the three landscaped trout ponds as an attractive backdrop for your, dining dining pleasure. Here at long last, we are submerged submerged in these lazy days of summer with only an occasional sharp interchange interchange of electrical energy and booming thunder to add variety to the spice of life. We admit we could hardly believe our eyes when we saw a gravel truck complete with snowplow snowplow traverse our road back and forth this week. Sure, we had a smattering of hail the other day, but surely not enough to merit such drastic action. Then at the Riverfest in Lindsay, we met a chap carrying a curling broom.
