Mrs. Todd Stephens, Kellee and Lynsee • were Monday luncheon guests of Miss Myrtle Tamblyn and Mrs. Wilfrid Bowman. • This week's visitors of Mrs. Len Stainton were Lori Landon and Jeremy, Jeremy, Mary Durant, Oshawa, Linda and Amanda English, St. Catharines, Mr. and Mrs. David Stainton, Co- boürg, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Simpson and Linda Cryderman, Bowmanville. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Demers, Kingston Kingston were Sunday visitors of Mrs. Wilfrid Bowman and Miss Myrtle Tamblyn. Frank and Maureen Vel, Stan- wood, Michigan spent a few days with Joe and Linda Sweet. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Howe spent a few days in Elora and St. Jacobs area this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Ian Nielsen-Jones and family, Aurora were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Somberger, Jessica Jessica and Alexandra. Mr. and Mrs. Jacques Comellier, Belleville, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Curran, Colin and Mary, Gaby Hart, Orillia and Horst Kaminski, Whitby were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Andre Andre Comellier, Alison and Paul. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Howe spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Brad Huggins and family, Peterborough and Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Howe, Lindsay. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Wright, Oshawa were recent callers of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wright and Betty. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Moore, Bethany Bethany were Saturday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Virtue. On Saturday, September 10th the Gigantic Yard and Bake Sale will be held at Columbus United Church grounds. The Enniskillen U.C.W. will be having a Bake Table at this Sale. So, ladies don't forget we'll need baking, vegetables, fruits, jams, etc. Mr. and Mrs. David Cecchetto, Ryan and Darren, Sudbury were week long guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Werry, Donna and Ralph. Congratulations to all our folks in the village celebrating anniversaries and birthdays. This way I'm not missing anyone's names. Congratulations go to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Revard (nee Emily Milne) who were married in Windsor on Saturday. Lance, Gay and family attended the wedding. On Friday evening August 26, a family party was held at the home of Brian and Diane McGill and girls in honour of Keith and Ruth McGill who celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary anniversary on August 28th. Those attending were : Ray and Eleanor VanMeer, Newcastle; Reg and Joan Brock, Orono; Sam and Betty Piper, Maple Grove; Herman and Joan Haass Bowmanville, Jim and Reva Kinsan, Dale and Janine Brock and Joshua McGill, Enniskillen. Enniskillen. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Keith McGill were luncheon guests of Stuart Stuart and Doreen Lamb. Keith and Ruth McGill were Sunday Sunday afternoon callers at Mr. Fred Bil- letts home in Scarborough. Later, all attended the wedding at. McLean House in the Sunnybrook estates when Elizabeth Billed became the bride of Andrew Jimenez. Elizabeth is the daughter of Jim and Sally Billet and granddaughter of Fred Billet. Ryan McGill returns home this week after spending several weeks visiting relatives in the West. Julia and Andrea McGill did very well with their exhibits at Blackstock fair. The sixth meeting of the Senior Dairy Club was held on August 3, 1994 at Benschop's Farm. We opened the meeting with the 4-H Pledge which was followed by the Roll Call. We then met with the Juniors and Dr. Blackburn gave us an interesting talk on body conditioning on cows. Dr. Blackburn handed out sheets to all the members "on the six types of body conditioning. He used four cows that Benschops prepared for us to help show us. After we thanked Dr. Blackburn, Tom Benschop gave us a tour of their farm. He demonstrated the flush system system and his milking parlour. We thanked Tom and then, went and talked about our Senior Projects. We met with the Juniors again and Tom showed us his cow mats, and were they ever comfortable. We them went out and had pop and homemade squares which were prepared by Mrs. Benschop.
