Ryan McGill returns home this week after spending several weeks visiting relatives in the West. Julia and Andrea McGill did very well with their exhibits at Blackstock fair. The sixth meeting of the Senior Dairy Club was held on August 3, 1994 at Benschop's Farm. We opened the meeting with the 4-H Pledge which was followed by the Roll Call. We then met with the Juniors and Dr. Blackburn gave us an interesting talk on body conditioning on cows. Dr. Blackburn handed out sheets to all the members "on the six types of body conditioning. He used four cows that Benschops prepared for us to help show us. After we thanked Dr. Blackburn, Tom Benschop gave us a tour of their farm. He demonstrated the flush system system and his milking parlour. We thanked Tom and then, went and talked about our Senior Projects. We met with the Juniors again and Tom showed us his cow mats, and were they ever comfortable. We them went out and had pop and homemade squares which were prepared by Mrs. Benschop.
