Orono News From Page 13 Durham Orchards, and so little interest interest in fair time. For many years the Durham apple growers held a very attractive display in the arena and this was a popular event. Granted we hold "Applefest" day in October, but through our Durham Durham Central, a greater and larger degree degree of interest could be shown! The vegetable sections were down somewhat, but excellent quality where shown. Mrs. Minnie Zeger was the big winner with her attractive display of vegetables. Robert Chater, Leskard, had largest largest pumpkin and also best basket of potatoes. In the Agriculture Buildings again the 4-H Club displays were most attractive, attractive, also the Women's Institutes rest centre, a good place for a rest. Rest rooms on the grounds and of course in the arena a great asset to our fair and all other community events. Excellent poultry exhibits and as usual a good exhibit. Didn't get to see the rabbit show on Saturday, but this sure is a popular place for young fry! The dance held Saturday night in the arena was a great success. Not as large a crowd, but really a "fun crowd," as most in attendance were seen up dancing all night. Excellent music by "Chaser", local musicians. By the way this group will be at the forthcoming big rodeo, sponsored by local Kinsmen and Rotary clubs!
