UCW Presbyterial meeting was held in Orono church last Tuesday. Tyrone was represented by Jean Slemon, Marion Hoar, Marg Knowl- ton and Jacqueline Vaneyk, as well as Bessie Vaneyk who is the current president of Oshawa Presbyterial. Speaker was Dr. Marion Logan, who showed slides on her trips to South Africa, and asked "Where in the world are we?" Tyrone church was beautifully decorated by the worship committee for the Thanksgiving service. Rever end Paul Boughton delivered a thought-provoking sermon on what it means to be truly thankful. Special music was provided by the senior choir, under the direction of Doug Wylie, and by the junior choir led by Jane Koene. The annual food drive supplied two big basketsful. A series of Home Meetings is being being held by the steering committee for interim ministry. This is part of a plan to allow everyone to give some input into where the church is, and where it is going. Anyone who is interested interested in the well-being of our church and pastoral charge is urged to attend and speak up. Don't leave it to everyone else, it is too important!
