They tell people that they have either either won a vehicle, or one has been found in a warehouse with their name on it and for a 'fee' or the payment of the sale tax they will ship it to them. These 'fees' or ■ 'taxes' can range from $600.00 to $3,600.00. In April this year, a Clarington resident forwarded $2,500.00 and never received anything. Another person was contacted but never sent anything and called Policé. Again this month, two Oshawa residents were contacted by companies companies calling from Montreal and given the. same story. Dolina Smith says that freedom of expression is fundamentally important, important, but it must be limited when it infringes upon the rights of others to live in peace and security.
