By Lori Kay It had all the makings of a great evening. With an elegant dinner table set for four, capon roasting in the oven and two handsome Spaniards bearing flowers and candy, what could possibly go wrong ? Everything, if the hostesses for the evening are Florence Ungar and Olive Madison, the main characters in the Néil Simon comedy, "The Odd Couple"-The Female Version. Version. Olive Madison, played with comcdic flare by Jane Vatcher, has decided that she and her roommate could use some male companionship, not to mention a break from each other. Florence Ungar, perfectly played by Margaret Margaret Williams, is unsure about the evening, as she has yet to recover recover from being dumped by her husband a few weeks before. Manolo and Jesus (pronounced Hay-zoos), Costazuela are the brothers from Barcelona that Olive met in the elevator several weeks before. They have accepted accepted the ladies' offer to be their dinner dinner dates for the evening. Both men are divorced, charming and extremely well-mannered, (this gets carried to the ridiculous when it comes to who sits down first!). They also have a good sense of humour when it comes to the girls' attempts at Spanish and their own attempts at English. Although Although they have lived in the United States for three years, Manolo Manolo and Jesus have yet to master some of the trickier points of the language, which leads to several humorous misundertandings.
