St. George's Anglican Church St. George's celebrated the service service of Holy Communion on December December 18. The Reverend Robert Hartley preached on the theme, Are You a Machine? This was a meaningful and appropriate sennon for this time of the year. Our Advent Carol Service was a tremendous success, and fellowship was enjoyed after the service in the Parish Hall. Thanks to all who made this evening such a success. The flowers on the Altar were to the Glory of God and in memory of Doris Spencer, given by her sister Florence Tuson. The two-hour meeting was held to present the design of a replacement school for Newcastle Public School. While the design of both the interior and exterior of the building "wowed" a lot of people, most parents were more concerned with the school needing more classroom space.
