The bowlers will always remember Ernie Roach's great score of 450 which gave him first prize for high single game of the season. Roach won the prize for high three games with 955. Roach and Ken Luxton ran 1-2 in the high averages, winning 15 free games and 10 free games. ******* 35 YEARS AGO -- Top bowlers in the Ladies' Major Bowling League are Bernice Buday, Sadie Bucknell, Doris Joli, Donna Preston, Preston, Kay Beauprie, Joyce Lyle, Hilda Brock, Lola Wright, Lydia Bates, Ena Etcher. ******* 25 YEARS AGO -- Bowmanville's three Little NHL hockey teams took to the ice sporting bright, new green and white outfits, provided by their three new sponsors.
