A few seconds later, the Mustangs scored their second goal when Mark Ganhao got the puck back to Lucas at the point who let a blast go that beat the screened goalie. Later in the second period the Mustangs tied up the score when Mike McCrory picked it up and blasted it into the net. The Mustangs, then notched the winner when Jamie Woolner again skated through everyone before beating the Stirling goalie. The final score was Darlington Auto 4, Stirling 3. The Mustangs, for their second second game, faced off against the Lakefield Chiefs. The Chiefs got on the board early in the game when they scored a shorthanded goal. The Mustangs Mustangs tied up the game early in the third period when Mark scored on a set up from Jamie Richter. The game ended in a tic, so the teams were forced to play five minutes of sudden death overtime. Neither team was able to score. This meant that each team had-to pick three players for a shoot-out. Lakefield managed to notch three goals while the Mustangs notched only one goal. This made the final Lakefield 4, Darlington Auto 2. Later in the day, the Mustangs Mustangs faced off against Lake Vista at the Orono arena. The coach allowed Jason Neil to take his turn in goal. The Mustangs Mustangs lit up the scoreboard first when Chris Mann scored on a setup from Jamie Richter and Mark. The Mustangs then took a two goal lead when Mark scored on a setup from Mike and Jamie Richter. The Mustangs Mustangs then took a three goal lead when Cory Scholl scored with Jamie Woolner and Chris assisting. Jason then relieved Stephen Smith in the Mustangs' Mustangs' net. The coach did not know what to expect, but the boy must have thought they had Ken Dryden in the net as they didn't give Jason any help as Lake Vista scored three unanswered unanswered goals. The Mustangs then took the win when Cory notched his second goal of the game with assists going to Mike and Ryan Bruce. The final final score was Darlington Auto 4, Lake Vista 3. The coaches are now wait ing to see who wants to be the next fill in for Ryan so he can score a goal. The Mustangs lost Zack Fiddis for the year to an injury, The whole team hopes he will still come out to the games even though he can't play, just to cheer on his teammates.
