This is the month we highlight the importance of poisonproofing poisonproofing your home. Keep drugs, chemicals, pesticides and cleaners in their original containers and ensure they are properly labeled. One poison we advocate keeping out of your home entirely is tobacco. It certainly shortens lives and provides a very negative role-model for our children. Some medications can alter your sense of taste. Certain drugs used to treat infections, heart disease, Parkinson's or cancer might cause this. If you've been noticing your food tasting kind of funny, check with us. We can help determine if it is indeed caused by your medication.
