This Children / Family Concert, Concert, is a unique opportunity to introduce youngsters to 'live' orchestral music in an atmos phere of wonderment and mag-, ic. The concert includes "Symphonic "Symphonic Sorcery", an hour of musical, magical mayhem designed designed specifically for the family family audience, with Peter Mcn- nie's Theatre of Magic from London, Ontario. The program features audience participation, magic, and illusion performed to, among others, The Overture from William Tell, Les Toreadors, Toreadors, Pops Hoedown, etc. The magic and music are woven together together throughout the entire performance. Photographer Laura Sawodny, from Pickering, has been interested in photography for many years, and has been actively involved in the art for the last four to five years. Sawodny is mostly self-taught and enjoys taking pictures of nature and landscapes, especially using infrared infrared film. While she admits, infra-red film "is not an easy film to work with", she likes the end result." Sawodny's black and white photos are on display in the gallery at the Clarington Municipal Administration Building until the end of January.
