In the tournament opener, Newcastle Golf Course played a tremendous game against Newcastle Cooper Fuels. Great offensive and defensive play helped Newcastle Newcastle to win by a score of 5- 0. Scoring goals for the team were Kyle Whcaly with one, and Ryan Nicholson with four. In net to record the shutout shutout was Andrew O'Leary, who played an excellent game. MVP of the game was awarded to Ryan Nicholson. The second game saw us meet Ken Richards Fortune Financial of Newcastle. In this very exciting game, Newcastle Golf Course came ahead to win 6-3. Scoring goals were Trevor Clarke with three, Ryan Nicholson with two, and James Parks with one. Great assists from various players helped to make these goals possible. Andrew O'Leary again played well in net. The third game saw Newcastle Newcastle Golf Course match up with Lindsay. With excellent team play and goaltcnding by Andrew O'Leary, Newcastle won with a score of 8-5. The eight goals were scored by Ryan Nicholson. Assists went to various team members which include, Matthew Can- diano, Trevor Clarke, Jesse Garristo, Lcannc Garrislo, Jessica Holmes, Daniel McCarthy, James Parks, Jacob Jacob Sharer, Michael Tou- shan, Marcel Vasseur, Kyle Whealy, Spencer Yule, and Bryan McClughan. The boys were awarded 'A' Championship trophies, and Ryan Nicholson was awarded the MVP trophy.
