Hope the ground hog will confirm my suspicions next month. The heavy fog last Wednesday Wednesday kept the Euchre card players away. Only eighteen people were in attendance. Wilma Kantor had the highest score of 85. Lloyd Broome was second with 82. Next was Ace Richards who scored 74. This was followed by Charlie Lang- maid with 72 and Barb Cochrane Cochrane with her score of 71. Ambrose O'Halloran had the Most Lone Hands of six. Fred Watson was the evening's Most Honest Player. No one won the Special, building the pot for the third week. Ace Richards won two draws. He was married March 21, 1936, to the late Marion Grace Hamlcy. A resident at Ccdarcroft Place Oshawa, the past four years, lie had fanned at R.R, 1 Hampton from 1936-39 and at R.R. 2 Bowmanville for 35 years, He had also resided at Bond Towers, Oshawa, 19 years. He was a member of Trinity United Church, Bowmanville and of the Canadian Club and the Kiwanis Club. Surviving are a daughter, Betty (Mrs, Garth Davison) two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and sister Mary Byers, He was predeceased by brother Bruce and sister Nellie Douglas, Reverend Frank Lockhart officiated at the funeral services services held at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Howmmiville on Saturday.
