Ever since it was rumored rumored they had found a sponsor sponsor for the team, the girls have been sparked. Grant Physiotherapy Physiotherapy are official sponsors for this special group of 14 and 15 year olds. Grant Physiothcr : apy has been like a good luck charm. Starting January 4, Clarington Clarington visited Cobourg 1 and pulled off a penalty free- 3-2 win. Our two centres, Emily Muir and Jessica Andrews, scored single handed each. It was tied going into the third period. A quick pace of fast passing was tiring both teams. Tempers were starting to heat up. Emily Muir took a pass from rookie Andrea Griffin to break the tie at 2:08. Cobourg took a high sticking penalty, leaving them short handed. On Tuesday, January 9 in an exhibition game, Grant Physiotherapy defeated the Oshawa Bantam/Midget select team 2-1. The Clarington girls drew their opponents into six penalties. Oshawa kept centre Emily Muir tied up, tripped up and bruised up but Em managed managed to score in the first period with a pass from Lisamaria Akeson and then again single handed in the second period.
