Kloss said the youths had built themselves a fort on Green Road, north of Baseline Road, where they took their stolen goods before selling them. The fort was also the home for two of the youths who did not live with their parents, said Sgt. Kloss. Staff Sgt. Ryrie noted that break- and-enters by young offenders tend to go in cycles. "The kids do it a couple of times, and when they get away with it, they tend to think they are invincible," he said.
